Education

Patti graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1973 with a BS in nutrition and became a registered dietitian following a dietetic internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, in 1974.  She returned to higher education and earned the master of science degree in nutrition from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1978 and began teaching at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1984.
